XODR Export Failed – Junction Split & ElevationProfile Warnings in Road Model

Hi everyone,

I’m experiencing an issue when trying to export my road model to an .xodr file in CarMaker. The export fails with an error related to a junction, and several warnings appear regarding elevation profiles and unmatched traffic signs. I’d appreciate any help or suggestions to resolve this.

Here are the details from the log:

Hi @tolker ,
the export to .xodr format could be limited due to a number of factors. Please have a look at the limitations in User’s Guide under Scenario Editor → …→ Export to road file. Here all the limitations (not only from CarMaker side but also OpenDrive) are listed. It could be that the junction you built is not defined in OpenDrive.

If you still think the exporter should have converted the file to .xodr, then could you send the road file here?

Thank you for your reply. I don’t think my issue is related to the general limitations. Traffic signs can be handled, but the real problem occurs when I try to fix or remove errors in the road file. After making changes and attempting to export the file, I receive the following error message:

[Error] Exporting road definition to file ‘Hauptbahnhof_model_final.xodr’ failed: OpenDRIVE Export – copying road instance failed

I am using CarMaker version 11.0. How can I solve this issue?

@tolker ,
the error message (and your description of reproducibility) is unfortunately too generic to troubleshoot remotely. What do you mean fix or remove errors in the road file? Could you send the road file here?

Also, CarMaker 11 is outdated. I encourage you to use newer versions which are more robust.
