IPGKinematics - Double Wishbone Suspension Inconsistent Graphs

Hello everyone,

As a formula student team, we started to use IPG Carmaker & IPG Kinematics and aim to make a lap time simulation. We use FS_race templates and FSE_RearWheelDrive car. We implenmented to our car by changing car parameters. However, we have some problems with IPG Kinematics. We could not get a valid .skc document due to this reasons, and we are searching for some help

In IPGKinematics, we entered 6 hardpoints of the front suspension system in the geometry of vehicle data section:

Chassis Subframe - Bushing Front Lower Wishbone,
Chassis Subframe - Bushing Rear Lower Wishbone,
Body - Bushing Front Upper Wishbone
Body - Bushing Rear Upper Wishbone
Wheel Carrier - Upper Wishbone
Wheel Carrier - Lower Wishbone

We also included other parameters wanted in the Formula CarMaker guide. However, wheel travel vs camber graphics are not the same as what we obtained at ADAMS and Suspension Analyzer. I don’t what causes to this situation in IPGKinematics. Do you have any suggestion for this situation?

The Force Application Tire Forces values look somewhat strange, but there is a lot there I cannot see.

Hello Tim,

In FCM guide IPGKinematics section, it asks for certain parameters for double wishbone suspension. Since this is our first attempt to use the program, we only inserted required parameters below.

As it is said in the guide, we give random non-zero value for other parameters. We use such big number to understand that is random value. This is why The Force Application Tire Forces is absurd.
