Hi,
I am reaching out to request technical guidance regarding a critical solver/ integration issue I am encountering when replacing an external battery model via FMI into CarMaker for Simulink. Despite consulting the standard documentation, I have been unable to find a solution for this specific solver integration mismatch. I am using CarMaker Version: 13.0.1 and Matlab R2022b. I used the following solver setup: Fixed step, ode1 (Euler), with step size of 0.001s and single tasking.
The experienced issue is that the integrated FMU battery model works perfectly and simulates expected physical results. However, when initializing CarMaker for Simulink and using the exact same TestRun, solver settings (Fixed-step ode1 at 0.001 s), and FMU block, the simulation “blows up” with extreme current oscillations and unrealistic results the moment a transient load occurs.
I have not been able to find documentation addressing this specific multi-solver/interface discrepancy. Could you please provide guidance or further documentation on how to properly stabilize an FMU battery model when moving from standalone CarMaker to the Simulink integration environment?
Thank you for your time and help.
Kind regards,
Sara Leal
